Advertising Student, Entrepreneur, and Future World Changer!
I am a recent graduate, class of 2024, from the prestigious Moody School of Communication at UT Austin with a BS in Advertising.
In 2019, I began my small business XOchique (so-chic) Naturals LLC, a natural and hypo-allergenic skincare company focusing on creating products for clients with sensitive skin. It all began with my sister who lives with severe eczema daily. It pained me to see my sister experiment with beauty and skincare products on herself only to lead to extremely painful flare-ups. After countless tests and tweaks, I created products that fit her needs without causing pain or unnecessary flare-ups. My small business showed me how much of an excellent opportunity I had and taught me necessary things as I conducted all aspects of the company. In 2020, my company came to a hard stop as packaging and shipping concerned my clients. I put a pause on my company and worked towards a degree that I knew would help me when I came back to it. Today, I seek opportunities that can inspire me to become a successful businesswoman, whether that be in internships in marketing or a job at an advertising agency. Whatever it is, I am optimistic about my future and look forward to meeting/working with new people and absorbing all the information I can to become part of the next generation of the workforce and business owners.
